3DGeo Mt Isa Australia

Geological Modelling is the fundamental framework for visualizing the characteristics of the subsurface. It is mainly useful for natural resources exploration, mitigation of natural hazards, and understanding the geological process. The Oil and gas industry, mineral exploration, groundwater and geotechnical needs are some examples that rely on geological modelling.

Geological Modelling is the essential stage that has to be done before going into advanced steps such as resources and reserves estimation and or flow model. Geological modelling is a relatively new sub-discipline in geosciences that integrates several data of geological, geochemical and geophysical.

The following is the sample of our work in generating 3D geological modelling for basin scale in the Mt Isa Eastern Succession, North Queensland, Australia. This model is the component part of the I2+3 project of predictive mineral discovery or pmd*CRC based in James Cook University, Queensland Australia.
